ER WAIT
iNuclear medicine uses a small amount of radiation, called a radiotracer, that is injected into the bloodstream, inhaled, or swallowed in order to make pictures of the human body. Nuclear medicine images are unique and general show how things work in the body in a way that cannot typically be obtained from other imaging modalities. The most common nuclear medicine exams we perform are Stress tests, Bone Scans, Hida Scans, Thyroid and Lung Scans.
If you are pregnant, think you might be pregnant, or if you are breastfeeding you will want to talk with your doctor about risk and benefits of nuclear medicine imaging at this time. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us at 931-766-3242
