STRHS-Lawrenceburg releases our 2024 Community Benefit Report

Southern Tennessee Regional Health System - Lawrenceburg recently published its community benefit report for the 2024 calendar year. This annual report outlines the various ways the hospital is working to support the health and economic vitality of Lawrence County as part of its mission of making communities healthier®.
“As the trusted healthcare provider in Lawrence County for more than 50 years, STRHS-Lawrenceburg is dedicated to delivered high-quality care right here at home, supporting the well-being of our community and making a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve,” said Rhee Perry, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of STRHS-Lawrenceburg. “This year’s report reflects our ongoing commitment to offering compassionate care in our community, both within our hospital and beyond.”
STRHS-Lawrenceburg’s 2024 community benefit report highlights its continued efforts to meet the growing healthcare needs of its community through welcoming new providers, adding and expanding service lines and making significant investments in its healthcare technology. For example, in 2024, STRHS-Lawrenceburg added 5 employed providers; and more than $790,000 in capital improvements, including a central sterile surgical processing system, new ventilators and radiology equipment, as well as expansion of Southern Tennessee Bone & Joint and Women’s Health Clinic locations.
Additionally, STRHS-Lawrenceburg made a donation of nearly $20.4 million in health services to those in need, demonstrating its continuous commitment to ensuring everyone has access to care, regardless of their ability to pay. STRHS-Lawrenceburg is also devoted to creating environments where providers want to practice and employees want to work. In 2024, the hospital distributed more than $29 million in salaries, wages and benefits for its over 400 employees.
Last year, the organization paid over $4.5 million in local and state taxes, while also continuing its support of local activities and organizations committed to serving the region, including: A Kid’s Place, Cal Ripken Baseball League, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Crockett Theatre Board, Lawrence County Drug Coalition, Lawrence County Education Foundation, Lawrence County School System, and The Shelter, Inc.
