March 22, 2024
Southern Tennessee Regional Hospital System - Lawrenceburg was honored by its parent company Lifepoint Health at an annual awards ceremony held in Dallas, Texas on February 27. The hospital received the 2023 Operations Excellence Award for the company’s central division of acute care facilities.
The Lifepoint Health Operations Excellence Award recognizes outstanding overall performance across the company’s acute care, rehabilitation and behavioral health business sectors. The award is only given nationally to five facilities each year, including: one facility in each of the company’s three acute operating divisions, one inpatient rehabilitation hospital and one behavioral health hospital. Ranking at the top of the 23 other acute care hospitals in the division, this recognition is an accomplishment to be celebrated at STRHS-Lawrenceburg.
The award is given to exemplary facilities that have demonstrated a strong commitment to – and measurably improved – the following areas in the prior year:
- Quality improvement;
- Service line growth;
- Talent and workforce development and engagement;
- Expanding the facility’s leadership role in the community; and
- Financial performance.
“STRHS - Lawrenceburg is proud to receive this award, which highlights our entire team’s commitment to strengthening hospital operations, while advancing quality, healthcare delivery and patient satisfaction in Lawrence County and the surrounding region,” said Mike Howard, chief executive officer at STRHS - Lawrenceburg. “We are guided each and every day by our mission of making communities healthier, creating a culture of positivity where people want to work, and we look forward to continuing this momentum into 2024 and beyond.” Howard continues, “being recognized nationally solidifies the strength of our team, the positivity of our culture and the commitment we have to be of service to our local community. Big things are happening at STRHS-Lawrenceburg!”
The award was accepted by hospital leaders: Mike Howard, Chief Executive Officer, Kristie Taylor, Chief Financial Officer, and Melissa Armstead, Chief Nursing Officer.
